Family reunion + exploring= great photos

My mom's side of the family strictly believes in family reunions. Every summer my extended family flocks to a Utah campsite to visit, play games, eat and better get to know each other. But after one too many people quiz me about my future plans, it's suddenly time to get some fresh air.

With camera in hand, and one or two cousins in tow, I snuck away to take advantage of the pre-sunset lighting and the rustic beauties tucked away among the mountains.

Back at the campsite...

On Saturday our time was up, and everyone packed up the tents, extinguished the fires, and headed home. That is except the Mitchells. That's my close family, not distant relatives. We headed to my Uncle Kelly's house for barbecue and swimming. With July heat, the cold water and shaded patio made for a lovely Saturday afternoon with the wonderful family I just don't see enough.

Meet Kataya, my newest baby cousin.

Overall, the 2010 Olsen family reunion was a success. It was, and always is, great to re-connect with family that you don't always have the privilege of having around. It's just another addition to my fantastic summer.
